Erika M. Anderson is a producer, songwriter and composer who releases music under her initials EMA. She has released multiple albums to international critical acclaim and toured extensively across the US and Europe, including dates with Depeche Mode, Throbbing Gristle and Low. Her songs have been featured on prime time television, Italian art films and Adult Swim animations.
She has created the music score for the Italian film Mi Chiedo Quando Ti Mancherò, directed by Francesco Fei, which is premiering at the 2019 Rome International Film Festival. In 2015 she scored the full-length film #Horror, which starred Chloe Sevigny and was distributed through IFC Midnight.
She has also scored theatrical works with performances at the Barbican Centre in London and PS1 MoMA in New York. For several years she hosted a radio show on RedBull Radio called Mystery Language, a staff favorite, which was a monthly deep dive across multiple genres and topics. In 2018 she was handpicked to be a studio mentor at the last ever RedBull Music Academy in Berlin.
